Email - MAPI vs. SMTP Recommendation

The best strategy when deciding whether to use MAPI or SMTP is to figure out how you plan to use Easy View.

• If you only plan to run and send reports manually then MAPI is probably a good way to go.
• If you will be running most of your reports automatically using the 'Report Scheduler' then SMTP is the best way.

In most cases you will be running reports both manual and automatically. A good strategy here might be to use only SMTP for both or MAPI for manual emails and SMTP for automatic emails. Easy View is fully capable of supporting both methods simultaneously.
